Positive customer reviews are the best way to sell your products or services and promote your business. People are more likely to trust customer reviews over anything a company’s sales rep has to say, so it is always a good step to gather as many positive reviews about your business as you can.
Customers are willing about writing these reviews as well so don’t forget to ask what they think about your business. Here are some ways to promote positive customer reviews and get more customers to take interest in your business.
Get reviewed on social media
A lot of people believe that the customer reviews on any company’s website are fake, but are more likely to believe reviews written on social media websites such as Facebook and Yelp. Make sure you have enough places for people to review you on these channels as the reviews can be found when prospective customers are trying to decide whether they want to buy from you or not.
Reply to every review
Let’s face it, there will be some customers who were unhappy with the service provided to them and they will leave bad reviews. But instead of completely ignoring them or replying back with a mean and defensive reply, try to professionally handle the matter and come to a resolution.
In fact, research shows that companies who replied back to even bad reviews were overall better rated than those two ignored such comments.
Ask the right questions
Instead of straight away asking customers for a review, ask open ended questions instead. Try to find out about their experience with the staff or how they like the products. This will also help you gauge their level of satisfaction and get a sense of customer feedback, before you can further ask for a review about their purchase.
Make it easy to review
You need to make it easy for customers as they may not take the extra efforts it may take to leave a review. If you are emailing them to leave a review about your company on Facebook then you either need to add the link to the review page right there or simply message them on Facebook messenger to make it easier and quicker for the customer to write a review. Not everyone may take the time to search for your company on Facebook and then write a review.
Incentivise your customers to leave a review for your company. Their time is precious and should be compensated, which is why giving small incentives such as discounts or freebies can be a great motivating factor for people to leave more reviews.
Ask them in person
If you’re meeting your customers in person, don’t hesitate to ask them for a review. Keep it conversational and add a personal touch by letting them know you value their thoughts and loyalty. Talking to them in person and getting this feedback can be more helpful than a written review as it will also give you the opportunity to ask questions.
These tips are a great way to make it easier for your customers to write reviews if they love your products and services. This will help promote an easier space for them to access and write out their thoughts, in turn getting you more positive customer reviews!
